busy weekend and bible school

Last weekend was a busy one. Brandon took off Friday and he and Gwen spent the day together while I worked. When I got home we drove out to Clinton lake and had dinner with my parents and some friends. Gwen had so much fun playing.

Saturday afternoon, Brandon, Gwen and I drove back out to the lake to spend the day on the boat. This was the first time this summer. Gwen was a little unsure about the boat ride but Uncle Chase was going pretty fast. She was such a trooper. We spent the rest of the time parked in the cove and swam. Gwen was pretty freaked out by the water, after sitting with me on a raft, she realized it was pretty fun. Then Brandon took her and they swam a little. It was a great, tiring day.

Sunday, we spent the day with Grandpa Mike. We grilled out, made homemade ice cream and spent lots of time outdoors.

This week has been vacation bible school at our church, 8:30-11. I am leading the preschool class of 3-4 year olds. Gwendalyn has also been going. Since I have a class I haven't taken any pictures of her. Gwen spent Monday and Tuesday in the nursery, she had a lot of fun. Wednesday, she spent half the time there and the other half roaming around. My mom is doing a class and Gigi is in charge of snacks so Gwen just made her rounds. Today was a rough day. The nursery teacher took her to the classroom and within 10 minutes they brought her back, we tried this 2 or 3 times, finally she spent the rest of the morning with my class. I think she has teeth coming in because she was off all day. Tomorrow is the last day and I am glad, it has been fun but I forgot how much energy 10 three and four year olds are. Tomorrow night we have a little program. Gwen loves watching the kids sing their songs. I will have to take pictures and post them later.

Summer!

Summer is here!! The kids are out of school and tomorrow is the last day I am working. I'm barcoding and packing all the books from the two school that closed to bring to my library.

We have enjoyed the hot days we have been having. For Easter, Grandma and Papa got Gwendalyn a water table and it has been the best gift yet! She plays in it about every day.

We have also blown up her little pool to play in. Gwen has more swimsuits then imaginable but they are soooo cute!

Helping Dad set up

Every milestone Gwen hits I think it's my favorite, but so far now is my favorite, she is so fun. Every day she learns something new, it amazes me! Right now, one of her favorite things are babies. She has so many baby dolls and is always carrying one, but she wants a certain one every day (depending on the day, on which one she prefers) and you better get it right or boy, does she get frustrated. :) She likes to feed her babies with a bottle and kiss and love on them. She likes to talk to real babies, look in stroller and carseats for them and anyone under the age of 3 is a baby. It makes me laugh. She also just loves to play. It is so fun to watch. Stuffed animals are another favorite (she normally is carrying a couple different ones), along with eating ice, putting objects in and out of buckets and helping me do EVERYTHING. She loves to be outside, getting her back inside is always a fight. We are normally are outside early in the morning until bath time in the evenings, playing, taking bike rides, walking and anything else we can think of.

Daegan Clifford Sudja

My sister, Alli, gave birth to a BEAUTIFUL baby boy on May 25 at 1:39 am. Daegan Clifford weight 7lb7oz and 19in long. He is so precious. They are all home and doing wonderful!

After being at the hospital all night, I went home and got some sleep and then took Gwen up to meet her baby cousin, otherwise known as the "baby." She wasn't to sure about him at first. Aunty and Gwen are VERY close and she still is unsure why her aunty always has that baby. :) By the time we left the hospital she gave him kisses. We are still working on gentle touches but they will be best friends soon, just like their mommies!!
Not to sure about Daegan

I'm so proud of my sister, she is a wonderful mommy and I love my nephew so much! He came at a perfect time, we have all summer to play together!!
